Relax

I love summertime when the days are very relaxed and I have time to ignore the housework and just stamp.  I went a little challenge crazy today but they are just such a fabulous way to get a kick start on a card.

1.
For my first card I decided to pull out an old favorite - Daydream Medallions.  I thought it would make a pretty wedding card.  The DSP is from the Moonlight DSP stack.  I used a sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch and colors from Sunday Stamps.
Here's a close up - I used a retired large pearl jewel - just too pretty not to use.

2.
This is my favorite of all my creations today.  Again, I pulled out an oldie but goodie!  This uses the Wildflower Meadow stamp set and the sentiment comes from Six Sided Sampler.  A little bit of baker's twine and a Vintage Faceted button completes the card.  I did flip the sketch upside down for this one.  My sentiment worked better at the top.

It was so fun to do an Ombre look on a card.  Have you tried it?  I used a sponge and ink to ink up my stamp for this one. The sketch came from Clean & Simple, the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments, and the ombre idea from Stampin Royalty.

I just love the springtime colors on this card.  It was so easy to make a background with the new Flower Patch  stamp set.  Its a Photopolymer set and I love being able to see through the stamp for perfect placement.  This sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches, the colors are from Color Throwdown, and SUO challenged me to stamp the background.

4.
And finally we have a quick birthday card with some blender pen watercoloring from my silliest stamp set - Giggle Greetings.  I realized when I opened this set that I had never used the cheese image before so it was perfect for this!
I wanted to play with my new ZigZag embossing folder so I used it on the Pacific Point piece.  It adds just a little texture so its not too plain.  Three challenges are complete with this card too - Seize the Sketch for the sketch, Colour Q for the colors, and Catherine & Cathy for the challenge of anything food.
