Another January Birthday

Here's another card for a birthday.  This one was for my sister-in-law Gina.  I had fun playing around with some of my new stuff.

It uses some of my favorite colors - Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler.  The DSP is from the Festival of Prints pack from the Holiday catalog (now retired).  That beautiful embossing you see is the new Vine Street Folder that is only available during Sale-A-Bration. Love it! ♥  The ovals were cut out with the new Ovals Framelits and have a piece of Cherry Cobbler seam binding wrapped around.  The butterflies are stamped with the Papilon Potpourri set and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch and the Bitty Butterfly punch (now available in the spring catalog).  I initially didn't want the butterflies because I have the Big Shot die and embosslits but, you know how easy it is to see everyone else's creative ideas and decide you have to have it.

Have a wonderful day!  Share with you soon!

Field Flowers

I've found another blog that posts bi-weekly challenges to keep me being creative called Hand Stamped Sentiments.  This week was a sketch challenge. Here's a link: http://www.handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com/

And the sketch challenge:

I pretty much stuck with it exactly but I still liked how it turned out.  We are making this one in my club tonight.  This one uses some of the new Sale-a-Bration products that are available starting TOMORROW!

This uses the DSP called Sycamore Street and some of the new satin ribbon (both available for free with a qualifying purchase).  I just love color combos that I wouldn't come up with on my own.

The base is Whisper White with Island Indigo matting.  There are edges of Summer Starfruit on the DSP and Pool Party is layered behind the sentiment.  The stamps are from a set I need to use more called Field Flowers.

See you soon! Pin It Now!

I'm back!

I'm back!  I know its been a while since I posted .  Between the holidays and illness and, you know, everyday craziness I got lost there for a while.  I think my groove is starting to come back but sometimes its hard to reignite the mojo.  I figured I'd start with what I HAVE to do and make the cards I need for birthdays in December/January.  This is one I made for my niece, Lexi.  Her birthday was back in December so I did make it a Belated birthday card.

I had a lot of fun playing with some of my new stuff from the new Spring catalog and some new stuff from the  Annual Catalog too.  I also used this color scheme for a Challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments

Here's a link to see some other amazing projects with this color combo.
