Split Negative

Good Morning!  I have one quick card to share with you today. I'm feeling the stress of school starting next week and hope to stay motivated to keep up with my cardmaking.  This is one that we made at stamp club - with a few embellishments.  It fits perfectly with the Friday Mashup Challenge to use the colors Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black and Whisper White and have a wood element.
I used the split negative technique on my card for the wood element - it was my first time using this technique and I really think its a cool result especially for the background.  I've mostly seen it used as the focal point.
I'm really loving the Blended Bloom stamp set!  I forgot how therapeutic coloring can be :)  This is also a sneak peek at a new hostess set coming soon called Good Greetings.  Its filled with sentiments for the fall and winter holidays.

Stamp Sets: Blended Bloom, Flower Patch, Good Greetings
Ink: Staz On, Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Versamark
Paper:  Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Accessories: Hexagon Punch, Flower Fair Framelits, Banners Framelits, Aqua Painters, White Baker's Twine, Basic Metal Buttons, Black and White embossing powder
