I've been a busy little stamper!  My husband works in a rather small office and one of his coworkers just had a baby boy - the perfect reason to make a card!  What do you think?

A little mojo

My hubby is TRYING to teach me how to do the watermarks on my photos.  I actually did this one all by myself.  I deserve some chocolate for that...or a new stamp set :)

Here's a card I made for the Mojo Monday challenge. You could choose a round or square design. Obviously, I choose square.

Stamps: Everything Eleanor
Ink: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Modern Medley DSP
Accessories: Big Shot, Delicate Doilies Sizzlet L, 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Pearls Basic Jewels

Here's a close up of the little bird:

Out of my comfort zone...

I choose two more challenges to take me out of my comfort zone.  This must be one of my more "creative" days because I really had fun making myself dream up how to do this card with the supplies that I had on hand.

Here it is:

Isn't it cute!  I have a plethora of children/nieces/nephews so I think this will be a cute one to save and send to one of them for something they have accomplished.

I had several scraps from the Polka Dot Parade DSP laying around left over from a card I made using the sunburst technique (that will be coming at a later time).  I used the Heart framlits and the Oval framlits to cut out the pieces to make the hot air balloon.  The clouds were made with the pansy punch and cut in half and layered.  The basket for the balloon was punched out of a scrap of Chocolate Chip cardstock. And what better color for the background than Soft Sky!

Thoughts and Prayers

As I mentioned earlier - I have a few friends that are battling some serious illnesses so here is a card that I made for one of them.
Green is one of my favorite colors and to me it represents life and growth and healing.

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers
Ink: Garden Green
Paper: Sahara Sand, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlet, Dotted Ribbon Punch

I thought I would try out two new blog challenges for this one.  Here are the links:

Two Birthdays

I don't know what it is this weekend but I'm not feeling my normal inspired self.  I don't know if its the much lower than normal temperatures (I NEED heat in the summer) or being overwhelmed by having two friends in the hospital with very serious illnesses but I'm hoping my creativity makes a comeback this week. I still attempted to make a couple cards for some challenges.

Here's my cards:

This was my first card.  I used Sassy Salutations and Flower Shop.  Flower Shop is definitely one of my favorites from the catalog.  Especially since it has a coordinating punch!  The buttons are again from the Buttons and Blooms Simply Pressed Molds and Clay.  I've found the best adhesive to use with those is Crystal Effects.  I slightly changed up the color palette to accommodate the colors I had.

( I used Cajun Craze, Crisp Cantelope, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, and White.)

This was my 2nd card.  I brought out the Daydream Medallions and Itty Bitty Banners sets since I hadn't used them in a while.  I had a vision in my head of what I wanted this card to look like but I couldn't make my paper conform to my wishes.  I think it still turned out cute though.

I did take a few hours to make a paper flower bouquet for my friend who is in the hospital near me.  I hope it brightened her day!

Something Old, Something New

Hello!  Nothing like waiting until the last minute to post some blog challenges!  This is another Christmas card - building up my stash now so I'm not panicking in November/December.

Here's my card:

Stamps: Label Love, More Merry Messages
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green (markers too)
Paper: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Be of Good Cheer DSP (retired)
Accessories: Artisan Label punch, 1" circle punch, Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon, Regals Candy Dots, Dimensionals

Here's a close up of the new candy dots - LOVE THEM!

Did anyone notice my big blunder on this card?  I don't think you can see it very well in the photo but I'll share anyway because I like to laugh at myself when I do goofy things. After I had completely assembled the card I realized the card opens to the left instead of the right!  Seeing as how the sentiment is do not open until Christmas I thought it would make it more challenging!  My hubby is a lefty so I think I'll give this card to him - he'll get a chuckle out of it too.

BUSY!

Yes, I know.  What did I expect with having 4 kids.  But its a good kind of busy and I love my life.  We added in VBS (Vacation Bible School) this week and although it adds to the busyness of the day my kids love it and I'm happy to accommodate them in this way.  Although I haven't been on here in a few days I have been doing a little creating.  Let me share a couple things with you.

I've been casing (copy and share) lots of cool cards I found on Pinterest (best waste of time EVER my one friend calls it) but I have so many cards pinned that it isn't quick for me to look up who I cased them from so feel free to claim it if it is your.  And thank you for your wonderful creativity!

Having some fun with washi tape and the new clay and molds - this one uses a button AND a blossom.  The button is colored with a marker and the blossom with the aqua painter and ink pad.
I'll be back soon to share more with you.  Off to create some more and RELAX! Pin It Now!

Modern Mosaic

This will be my last post for a few days - time to spend some QT with family.  Sometimes I get so caught up in my crafting that they start feeling a little neglected.  So with this post I will be adding links from not one, not two but THREE challenges! (Feeling rather ambitious!)

To change it up a bit - Here's my card first:

Stamps: Modern Mosaic, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Gumball Green, Pacific Point, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Pacific Point, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Mosaic Punch, Early Espresso 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon , Dimensionals

Here's a closer look at the label I made using the Mosaic Punch...

First I cut a piece of Whisper White to fit just inside the squarish part of the punch and then inserted it in .
Then I cut a piece of Pacific Point just slightly wider to frame it and did the same.  Pretty cool, huh?!

So - the challenges - and if you ever want to play along feel free to follow the links there.  Leave me a comment and let me know you played too and I'll be sure to check out your creation!

Giggle Greetings

Today I am featuring a new stamp set called Giggle Greetings.  I love humorous cards and these definitely fit into that catagory.  I did incorporate layout challenges Mojo Monday and Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Mojo Monday http://www.mojomonday.blogspot.com/

This was such a fun card to make.  The inside reads "and sometimes its just the pits."  I made the little cherry in the circle by using the heart framelits and cutting out the smallest heart then suing the 1"circle punch to round off the end.  The stem comes from the bird builder punch - the branch piece.
Stamps: Giggle Greetings
Ink: Basic Black, Markers - Marina Mist, Summer Starfruit, Real Red
Paper: Marina Mist, Summer Starfruit, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Big Shot, Heart Framelits, 1"Circle punch, Bird Builder Punch, Linen Thread, Dimensionals, Blender Pens

Tuesday Morning Sketches http://tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com/

And my card:

I crack up every time I read this one!  I decided to use my Simply Scored Borders Plate to create a cool design instead of ribbon.  I like how it turned out.

Stamps: Giggle Greetings
Ink: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Rose Red
Paper: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Accessories: Simply Scored Borders Plate, Blender Pens, Dimensionals

Hope you got a chuckle out of today's post.  See you soon!
