August Stamp Club

Here are the cards we made at our last stamp club.  Aren't they cute!

The giraffe card is a CASE (copy and share everything) from LeeLa Smith.  We used a technique on it called embedded embossing to get the giraffe fur texture on the background.

The friend card is a CASE too.  Shelli Gardner (co-founder of Stampin' Up) had a similar card on her blog called tri-fold with a twist.  This one is my version of it.

A Gift

Photo: Working on my moving checklist, using the super cute notebook Denise made me!!

Isn't this cute?  Its a notebook I made for a fellow parent who is on the school board with me.  I made these notebooks for my kids this summer and she commented that she wanted one so voila- she got one!

Its one of the composition books that you can pick up now during back-to-school season for under $1.  I used the Everyday Enchantment DSP from Sale-A-Bration that I had left over to cover the notebook, make the rosette, and butterfly and fill the pen.  The brown strip and circle under the buttlerfly is Early Espresso.
I covered the butterfly in crystal effects to make it prettier and a little more sturdy.

Well, I'm off to the park for a picnic lunch and playdate.  See you soon! Pin It Now!

Field Flowers

I was playing around with some color combos and the new Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.  Not sure if I'm in love with what I came up with but I don't dislike it either.  What do you think?

I really, really like this stamp set but haven't played with it enough to enjoy the two-step stamping.  I'm still getting the hang of it.  The top flower (on the right) is just a little off.

I guess I'll have to just keep working at it since I do adore the images.
